  • Spousal Quitclaim = Waiver of Marital Rights? Maryland

Maryland: 4 years ago in consideration of a timely divorce, I quitclaimed my interest in the Marital House to my wife on the request of the mortgage refi company. She recorded the deed, and has the mortgage completely in her name alone. She never cooperated with a divorce proceeding although I completely supported her during this entire time (including paying her mortgage). The original Title was "Tenants by the Entireties". This past year she died, but two weeks before she died, she quitclaimed the house her father and our two biological daughters. Her will left me nothing. She died married to me without any separation agreement.

Question: Does the quitclaim deed I signed to her relinquish any marital rights I may have in the property?
