  • Migration agent Cheshire/Manchester

Does anybody know of a good migration agent in the Cheshire/Manchester
area. My sister wants to emigrate but thinks she just doesn't have
enough points. She wants to have an initial assessment done to see what
is the best route for her to take. She wants to pay no more than £100
for the assessment - is this a realistic amount and what is she likely
    to get for her money?

    Thanks

    Sally

A lot of migration agents will do an initial assessment for free, even
on line. Choosing the right one though is a different matter. Do a
search on this forum for the words 'migration agents'. Best of luck

There are heaps of websites offering a free initial assessment, if you
want an agent I'd do a search on this forum, quite a few are mentioned
more than once, and there are bad reports on some too so check
      throughly.

        Hi,
I used concept australia who are based in manchester city centre and
they were really good and i got my visa last week - u could call them
for a free assessment or check out their website - do a search for them
on google. like the others say though u can call any agent for a free
        assessment
        good luck

Well I used them too and I soon got rid of them when they wrongly advised me
on various parts of the visa. I would also question whether they actually
are "Registered Migration Agents" unlike what they claim on the website.
          Personally I would avoid them.

Four corners emigration are near you.

I used them and both my brothers used them, but they are not
            cheap, around 3k

Initial assesment is around £35 if i remember, but you might want to
            check this.

I personally would go with an Australian agent as my documents were
forwarded there from Manchester anyway. The Manchester agents were too
busy so i was allocated one in their Sydney office. You could save a
fortune too with the exchange rate, and get a better service.

Research a bit before opting for the closest one.

I used concept austrailia north, our AOS had his Interview with
centrelink yesterday so were in our last stage. I have found them to be
                faultless.

Initally we had a phone interview were they gave us an initial
assessment then we had an interview at manchester where we signed up
paid our first installment and started the process.

We used Concept as well, have no complaints at all with them. I am a
genuine post as people will have seen my input over the last 18 months
on this group "we go in 5 weeks"
Tried doing it by ourselves at first, wish we had gone with them from
the start as we would have saved at least a couple months as we found we
had missed some important documents which we had to wait for, that
Concept alerted us to. Really pleased with them as we were a complicated
                  skilled sponsored case .

Thanks for all your replies. I've been passing them on to my sister
who is very grateful. She's been told that she doesn't have enough
points at the moment but will try to find somebody that can tell her
HOW to get enough! I've given her the number for Concept, she'll ring
                    them tomorrow.

                    Thanks again, keep them coming.

Registered migration agents are pretty thin on the ground outside
Australia so you narrow down your choice somewhat. There are some in
the UK but not many in comparison. Why not use an agent in Australia?

It may also work out cheaper in terms of fees if you use an Australian
agent. Not only when you convert their AUD fee into pounds, but you'll
also find that no VAT/GST should be charged.

UK agents with Australian branch offices also can offer a no VAT/
                        GST service.

                          Sally,

If she doesn't have enough points for a Skilled Independent visa, does
she have enough for the (relatively) new Skilled Independent Regional
visa? The details here might be of interest:

I'm in Cheshire and am using Alan Collett's firm, Go Matilda. They
have an office in Southampton but all my dealings have been by e-mail or
phone. My initial discussion with them was by phone and was free.

                            I can thoroughly recommend them.
