    So I own a banquet facility and I charge a gratuity on all meals that gets distributed in part to all employees. Or a restaurant that charges a mandatory gratuity for parties of six or more. From what I've read, it looks like I have to pay sales tax on that. Effectively the employee pays income tax on it and I pay sales tax. Am I understanding this correctly?
