  • TX Change to Commission and Fuel Expense

My husband has worked for a company for 6 years and has always been paid a 40% commission on his sales (Fire Extinguisher Sales & Service). New Management has decide they they are are going to change his paycheck to include a fuel reimbursement expenses and reduce his "commission by that amount" in order to save the comapny money paid to the IRS and Social Security taxes.

    1. Is this legal?
    2. This could affect the amount of social security benefits that he would receive at retirement, just two years away.

Any suggestion on who to call.
