  • Somethings never change...

I've not been here in years, but I thought I'd pop in. It is
interesting to see many of the same faces talking around the same
mulberry bushes. I am not sure who the monkey and the weasles are
though. Seems it is a matter of perspective.

Dale, have you been able to cite "taxable source" or
"exempt gross income" actually having been printed
anywhere in the IRC or Regs yet? Probably not,
since they don't exist beyond your fevered imagination.

The Collaborator sock puppets are so numerous that any time a new name
appears (and you are new to me) I check to see if the name has a prior

Dale obviously cannot cite the existence of "Taxable Sources"
or "Exempt Gross Income" existing anywhere in the Code or
Regulations, other wise he would be crowing it to the world.

They must not exist except in his fantasies.

I'm disappointed in you Richard. You won a point re: genus of taxes,
yet you have reverted to trolling and obnoxious noise again. Perhaps
your browser didn't like that link up there. I'll put it down here

Doing a google search on "taxable source" (recognize any
web sites here?), the first ten "hits" are:

Your point being?? My first time on the internet was with relay chat back in late 1987. My first Usenet reading was in early 1988. Yippie skippy.

                    Ah, old times.

I had gotten my first computer (Apple ][+) in '81 (Germany)
and first got online (CompuServe) in '85, (at 300 baud, of
course, using a Hayes SmartModem card) shortly before going
                    to Korea.

Then started mucking with FidoNet in DC Beltway area
(Reston/Herndon) and, finally, getting on the Internet in
                    '89.

The strongest memory I have from "Early Adventures on the
Internet", was having to download everything twice
(fortunately I knew Yossarian and didn't have any problems
                    with "seeing everything twice").

As a hardware guy, Pine traumatized me and Oak hung me out
                    to dry.

But the funniest (but only in retrospect) thing was in '93
when there were three (four?) of us applying for domains.
The domains were free but everyone had to do the paperwork,
which led to phone calls asking a magical question such as,
"What do you put down for your secondary technical contact"
and "What do you mean that "Name Server" is a number?
That's crazy." (That was, obviously, before I knew that the
Internet was, essentially, created by grad students at 3:30
in the morning after consumning seven pizzas, 18 gallons of
coffee and the guy on the truck who loaded the Jolt! soda
machine was refilling it three times a day).

There was an incident with PC-DOS 1.05 that helped me with
UNIX but that caused the death of too many brain cells.

                    Oh, well . . . / gray
