  • New Mexico and Texas income tax question Texas

I currently live in New Mexico but will be starting a job in Dallas Tx in a few days and will be staying there for about 3-6 months living in a small 1 bedroom appartment. My family will stay in NM while my wife continues to work at her current job. If my position becomes perminant there, we will be moving to Dallas after that time.
My question is even though I will be living there would I be required to report that 3-6 month income for the New Mexico state income tax or would I fall under the Texas ''no income tax' catagory?

    Thanks in advance!
