  • Working on L1, having H1 work permit without new I-94 New Jersey

    Hi,
My company sponsered me L1 and got the stamping in Feb2008. After this I a different sponserer sponsered a new H1B for me by mentioning that I am resident of India and I got the approval. Later I entered US with L1 in Nov 08 and working here since then.

As I applied for H1 as resident of India my H1 docs doesn't include I-94 as per my H1B sponserer. Can I switch to the company which sponsered me H1B without going out of US and getting new H1 stamped? My present status on my I-94 says L1 and I don't have a new I-94 along with H1B approval.

Can anybody suggest me as my L1 employer wants me to go back to India as my project is over. I need to deside ASAP if I can switch to my H1 sponsering company or not.
