    My boyfriend is 15 and wants to get emancipated to get away from his mother, he would live with his sisters dad as would try and get a job. Is it legal to get emancipated when your only 15? I'm kinda worried about him.

    Legal or illegal is a moot point, since emancipation is granted by the courts.

    It is not possible to be emancipated from only one parent. Either you are emancipated, meaning that you are living ON YOUR OWN and paying 100% of your own expenses, or you are not.

    The chances of a 15 year old qualifying for emancipation are so slim as to be essentially non-existent.

    Under Missouri law, unless he is living ON HIS OWN with his parents' explicit or implied permission (the other option for emancipation is not possible at 15) then emancipation is simply not going to happen.
    The above answer, whatever it is, assumes that no legally binding and enforceable contract or CBA says otherwise. If it does, then the terms of the contract or CBA apply.

      Quoting Missouri Emancipation Law

      In Missouri, a minor may be emancipated in one of three ways:
      1) your parents may give express consent to a court that they are waiving their parental rights;

      2) your parents may give implied consent, which would apply in situations where you have been living on your own, supporting yourself, and for all practical purposes your parents have relinquished their parental rights; and

      3) you experience a significant change in your societal status-such as an enlistment in the military or marriage.
      Emancipation requires the ruling of a judge.
