    And even if you are having sex, with your parents' consent the police probably won't get involved. They have bigger things to worry about.

    It should be. In South Carolina, if you're 16 or 17 (16 is age of consent) you can be in a relationship with anybody between your age and 3 years older. Once you're 18 you're free game. I think the 3 years applies in most states and should also apply in Florida but I'm not 100% sure about that.

    But, you said your parents approve of it, so as long as they do then yes it is legal.

    I am in Florida. My boyfriend and I have been together since February of 2004. Our birthdays are both in September. I am about to turn 17, and he 19. When we started dating we were 15 and 17. My parents do not mind me dating him; is it legal?
