Hi I need help I need to know the law on under age dating. I am from the uk.

She is 12 and going to be 13 in September and I am 18 and going the be 19 in august and I hope to go out with her one day but I need to know about the law first before I brake it.

This is a US law site.

However, I know enough of UK law to know that you have no business hanging around a 12 year old. She is a child and you are an adult. She is well below the age of consent and if you really find that you have anything in common with her, that speaks very, very poorly of you.

If her parents have a modicum of sense, they will tell you to get away from their daughter and don't even try to see her again.
The above answer, whatever it is, assumes that no legally binding and enforceable contract or CBA says otherwise. If it does, then the terms of the contract or CBA apply.

You definitely need to stay away from her - she is way too young for you. You are an adult & she is a minor (a child really). You need to find someone closer to your own age or you might find yourself in a lot of trouble.

PS - I note you said you are from the UK & you do have a UK IP address. However, you posted in the Ct. family law forum. (possibly she lives in the US - Ct.) In the UK or the US, you are too old for her.
