  • Help in Adoption Arkansas

My wife and I are looking into adopting a 9 years old boy. He was abondoned by his mother at age 4 and was given to an Aunt. The Aunt has a signed letter giving her temp. guardianship and power of Att.(Signed in 2004) The Mom has made no contact in over 18 months. The Aunt is in full agreement and support of us having the boy. What do I do to start legal adoption?

This is something that you really need to hire an attorney for, just to make sure that everything is done correctly, including legal notifications of Mom and dad.
