People marry for all kinds of reasons. I think you should stay out of it. So long as both of them are committed to being married, it may be a good arrangement and love may follow.

My 22 year old daughter (in Alaska) told me last night that a friend has offered to give her $10,000 to marry him so that he could obtain US citizenship. Although she won't tell me who, I've found out he's from Scotland and 38. She told me she loves him as a friend and wants to help him out. She also says it would give her European citizenship and allow her to travel and work throughout Europe without restriction. What are the legal arguments I can use to head off this disaster?
