  • Eloping in Idaho? Idaho

I am a 17 year-old and my boyfriend is 20, we are both living in Oregon. Is it legal for us to get married in Idaho without parental concent? Also, if we were to come back to Oregon, would I be able to stay with him?

    He can marry anyone.

You still need parental consent in Idaho.

Nope, but when you turn eighteen you could go visit him in prison

There is no state where you can marry at 17 without parental consent, consent of the courts, or both.

And if you cross state lines for the purpose of having sex, that is a Federal crime for which he can go to jail.
The above answer, whatever it is, assumes that no legally binding and enforceable contract or CBA says otherwise. If it does, then the terms of the contract or CBA apply.

Can you wait until you turn 18?
