  • How do I lift the Restraining Order I have against someone?

My restraining order was granted in Nov of 2006. I no longer need the restraining order as the person I have it against will be leaving the country--only he needs the order to be lifted to go where he is going (far, far away). How do I make this happen? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Please don't. It's his problem to deal with the requirements the courts have set for him.

If you ask the courts to lift the order, you are basically stating that you lied as that is their only reason to lift one. If you need another order in the future, it may not be granted because of this.

What would protect you from this person should they come back?

If you truly ever needed protection from this person, then revoking that protection now, revokes it forever no matter how stupid that person gets.
