<<<<<But why not call the people given as contacts on the Press Release,
    and
ask them? Does it make a difference if the information you seek comes from a poster here or from the officials who are supposed to provide the answers? Rupa>>>>> BINGO! Why is it Rupa gets it? If you want the official data and
    statistics,
and monies spent, you need to go to the proper sate officials who are all listed on the press release. Just GO to them!!!!!! We meet with them on a regular basis, have met with the Lt. Governor on
    the
issue about four times, and if Marley wants every last tidbit of info on
    this,
then she could set up a meeting with them herself. To simply answer your questions: <Thanks, but I'm looking for more details: What state official reviewed the content of the ads prior to production
    and
distribution? What state social service official (specific name) reviewed the content prior to production? Who runs the 800 number advertised? How was the vendor selected? Was there competitive bidding? Marley> The TV ads were produced by volunteering students of the Boston Arts
    Academy,
under the direction of the DSS (Names listed on the press release, along
    with
us.) Cost output for their work....0.00$ Two huge donated billboards in Downtown Boston and Worcester. Cost:
    0:00$
Donated signs on Mass Transit buses and trains. Cost: 0:00$ The Commonwealth of Massachusetts having a properly promoted Baby Safe
    Haven
law, PRICELESS !!!!!! BTW: We recommended that AMT Children of Hope answer the hotline, they set
    up
the number, making it even more priceless. Just like our New England Patriots, our Baby Safe Haven law is a dynasty
    in the
    making. Jean
A dynasty of what? Generations of people without identities and families?
Generations of women who listened to bad advice and come to regret it?
Generations of iill-informed child welfare workers?

    <<<<<<<<Hear what, though, Marley?
You're asking for factual data about spending and authorization, over
which they have no control -- though perhaps they may have influence,
    like any lobbyist.
I get that this is an issue that's important to you.
But you're not really talking about anything to do with the M.s here,
you're talking about what the government did, or independent entities
like the Boston school or the billboard company did.
    Rupa.>>>>>>>>>

Once again Rupa hits the nail right on the head. We stood back and let the
state put together the public relations campaign as they saw fit. We gave some
advice, which we guess had some influence, and have been pleased with the
    results so far.
We don't have an interest in the amounts of money they have spent, and haven't
    even asked about it.
We have a long range set of goals, and the current work fits right in with the
steps we had hoped to be at.
I have no idea why Marley demands to have these questions answered. Simply go
to the source, the Administration, and ask them.
Nothing that could be revealed to Marley would slow the progress of what we
hope is accomplished in the near or distant future here in the Commonwealth
with our new Baby Safe Haven law.

<<<<<<If alt.adoption were a court, I'm afraid Jean would be sent off for contempt. Marley>>>>>>> In any court of law my word on what the Commonwealth is doing would be
    hearsay,
especially when you would have to research their statistics from the authorities themselves in order to properly present them. Unless we're talking about YOUR version of a kangaroo court. Jean
Jean, you are not a disinterested party in the implementation of this law.
You are self-admittedly intimately involved with its passage and promotion.
You have made allegations regarding promotional production and support. I
want to know upon what you base your proof. Upon what do you base your
opinion. Whether your beliefs align with what the state says in
immaterial. You present yourself as an "expert"--you make allegations in a
public forum-- so I'm only asking how you back up your "facts."
