    If you are terminated or suspended does the former employer have to put this in writing anywhere?

    No, there is no law requiring that there be a written notification of terminations or suspensions.
    The above answer, whatever it is, assumes that no legally binding and enforceable contract or CBA says otherwise. If it does, then the terms of the contract or CBA apply.
