First off filing a Police report will not get you money. all that does is get criminal charges filed and in this case I dont see them as pursuing them. Next many companies have a no fault policy on fights. This means both parties are fired. Its legal

Doesn't matter whether it was your fault or not. If you are fired for fighting, that's legal.

Panther is correct that filing a police report does not make you eligible for any compensation.
The above answer, whatever it is, assumes that no legally binding and enforceable contract or CBA says otherwise. If it does, then the terms of the contract or CBA apply.

You're free to file for unemployment if you are fired. Whether or not you will get it will be decided by the state.
