    Can an employer lay you off work during a workers comp case?

    Yes. You cannot be selected for layoff BECAUSE you filed a worker comp case, but otherwise you have no greater protection from layoff than any other employee.
    The above answer, whatever it is, assumes that no legally binding and enforceable contract or CBA says otherwise. If it does, then the terms of the contract or CBA apply.

      Yes, they can lay you off. You may be eligible for TTD benefits if this happens though.
