  • Should my boss have to pay?

I would like to know if my boss should be responsible to pay this. Here's what happened. I work at a florist where I design and put together floral arrangements. Well, while I was sharpening my knife I cut my hand and had to go get stitches. At the doctor they asked me if I would like to file for workmans comp. and I said not yet because I did not want my boss to be mad after he expressed to me not to because his insurance would go up or something like that. I do have insurance but is this fair?

    Thanks

You should report it. You should have reported it as soon as it occurred. If not, you may lose the right to claim benefits under Worker's Comp at a later date. That's what the coverage is there for.
I don't respond to Private Messages unless the moderator specifically refers you to me for that purpose. Thank you.
