  • PT appointments vs pay Alabama

Does the employer have to pay for time spent at PT outside of normal work schedule. Employee is working light duty and some PT appointments are after the normal work schedule. Does the employer have to pay for the time at the PT appointment which would be overtime?

Is it safe to assume that this is for a workers comp claim?
The above answer, whatever it is, assumes that no legally binding and enforceable contract or CBA says otherwise. If it does, then the terms of the contract or CBA apply.

The only state which requires the employer to pay for/ consider work time spent seeking treatment for a WC injury is CT. In any other state, the employer may pay tyhe time or not,or may require that appointments be made around work hours.
I post with the full knowledge and support of my employer, though the opinions rendered are my own and not necessarily representative of their position. In other words, I'm a free agent.
