  • Hourly Employee Hurt on Job

What are employers required to do as far as a weekly paycheck when an hourly employee gets hurt on the job? Their private doctor says they can probably return to work around the first of Feb. We are waiting for them to see our panel of physicians. The employee works an average of 31 hours per week. Please advise.

Have the employee file a WC claim and the WC carrier will pay TTD if appropriate. The employer need not do anything whether the employee is hourly or not.
I post with the full knowledge and support of my employer, though the opinions rendered are my own and not necessarily representative of their position. In other words, I'm a free agent.
