  • Final paycheck

CA Law: Once you terminate your employment, is your employer supposed to give you your last paycheck along with any vaction pay that's due on your last day of empoyment? Or are they able to wait until the next pay period?
Also, is your last paycheck and vacation pay supposed to be combined on one check? Or separate checks. Thank You

It can be combined or on separate checks.

If you are discharged, or if you resign with at least 72 hours notice, final pay plus accrued vacation is due on your last day of work. If you resign with less than 72 hours notice, your final check plus accrued vacation is due within 72 hours of your last day worked.
