  • Paid Holidays not Paid -Maryland

I realize laws do not require an Employer to offer paid holidays, but if an Employer states in the Company Handbook that the Employee has certain holidays off paid, then such a holiday falls on a weekend, doesn't the Employer still have to pay the Employee, or offer a paid day off?

There have been lots of questions about this recently because Christmas and New Year's fell on Sundays. The answer is no.
I am not able to respond to private messages. Thanks!
