  • NC laws on Commisioned employees

Does anyone know if you are a hairstylist and paid by only commision, then is it illegal for the employer to make you work the front desk. There is a secretary which is paid $13hr but we are expected to do it for free. Then when I said I was a hairstylist not a secretary I was fired. I just wanted to know if anyone knows of any legal actions I could take. Thanks!!

Generally speaking, no. Are you an independent contractor or an employee?
I don't respond to Private Messages unless the moderator specifically refers you to me for that purpose. Thank you.
