Yes, it is. In all 50 states it is legal for an employer to require an employee to take a 30 minute unpaid lunch break.

    Is that now perfectly clear?

    lunch breaks

I work for the HR department. Is it legal in the state of Kansas for an employer to require the employees to take at least a 30 min. lunch break unpaid?

Of course it is. Why would it be illegal for them to give you a lunch break?

    Lunch Breaks

I work in Kansas as an hourly employee, they are asking me to take at least a 30 min. lunch break unpaid. Is this legal in Kansas, if I am working an 8 hr shift?

    Thank you,
    Krystal
