  • How long can my former employer delay my commision check

I left my former employer about a month and a half ago. There is still some commission that he needs to pay me.
He agreed to pay but delayed it with one excuse after another.
I can see the possibility he will delay it for a long long time.

Is there anything I can do to make him pay me?

My former employer and I are both in Florida. It is a small corporation.

In Florida, sorry, the state won't help you in this matter, as there is no law in Florida specifying when your final pay is due. You will have to file a civil suit.
I don't respond to Private Messages unless the moderator specifically refers you to me for that purpose. Thank you.
