  • Deductions for Walk Outs?

    Wait persons in Pennsylvania.

If a customer walks out without paying or even takes all copies of the receipts after paying (card was swiped into the POS system), can management take the amount of the bill from the wait person either by taking tips or deducting from the paycheck?

    Thanks

Not without the employee's written authorization. A "blanket" authorization is not sufficient.
