  • CO: Former Employer Refuses to Pay Vacation Pay

My position was eliminated by my employer. I was the fifth of five other executives whose positions were eliminated. At the time, approximately 5 weeks ago, I had 6 weeks of vacation time accrued. The other four executives received their vacation pay--4-6 weeks of pay each. I was told that because the policy was not in writing I would not receive mine; instead, they gave me 80 hours of vacation pay--with no rationale given for why they were doing this. This week, one other executive was eliminated, and they paid him his full vacation pay.

    Do I have any recourse?

Probably. See page 31 of this document.
