  • Mandatory Waitress Meeting

I am a waitress in PA. My pay rate is $3.10/hour.

Recently, my employer posted a notice for a mandatory two hour staff meeting which promised all employees (even dishwashers!) would be compensated for their time. The meeting was scheduled for a night I did not normally work. Should I receive minimum wage pay for the meeting (because I was not working for tips at the time)?

Your feedback will be very much appreciated!

That is correct. For work time in which you have no chance of receiving tips, you must be paid the full minimum wage.
I don't respond to Private Messages unless the moderator specifically refers you to me for that purpose. Thank you.
