    Not if you are a nonexempt employees, which I am assuming by your job title that you are. If your employer requires you to come in at 7:15, then that is time is compensable, and you must be paid overtime if you work more than 40 hours in a work week. If you cannot work this out with your employer, you can file a claim for unpaid overtime with your state Dept. of Labor (most states).

    I start getting paid at 8:00 a.m. and i work till 4:30 My employer wants me at the shop picking up my tickets and pulling material at 7:15 and out traveling to my job at 7:30 Is this legal?!? I am an Hvac tech in New Jersey.
