  • Meeting pay

I recently attended an all staff meeting at the restaurant I'm employed in CT, although it was not specifically anounced as mandatory, I still sat thru it for 5 hrs. I have not seen payment in my check for this time, and it doesn't seem that I will. Can they do this?? Is it legal???

    Are you exempt or non-exempt?
The above answer, whatever it is, assumes that no legally binding and enforceable contract or CBA says otherwise. If it does, then the terms of the contract or CBA apply.
