    Comp Time

Yes, it is legal. The only exception may be if this is in clear violation of a written agreement. Even then, it is not something that would be handled by a government agency. Your husband would need to pursue this through the civil court system.

Employer keeps taking away earned comp time

Hi, my husband is a salaried executive at a Tennessee company, and in order to "make the numbers" each month for the past several months, the CFO has been zeroing out all upper management's comp time for the month. My husband routinely works about 40 hours over each month, and is a little disgusted that they are doing this. Is this legal? The company has had a policy to awarding comp time to salaried employees for at least the past 15 years, and has an expectation that employees are NOT to actually use more than 60 percent of that comp time.
    Thanks.
