  • breaks for in home care givers California California

we are a non-licensed agency whom provides in-home care givers on an hourly basis, anywhere from 3-12 hours shifts. But my question is about breaks, how are we to comply with break laws when the employee cannot leave the client alone, most clients are either children, or elderly, so even a 10 minute break away from them is unthinkable. I'm not sure how to word it, or what we should do in our policy for breaks.

    advice please!

    thank you

I post with the full knowledge and support of my employer, though the opinions rendered are my own and not necessarily representative of their position. In other words, I'm a free agent.
