    I currently have 2 weeks vacation time saved up at my current job. Is the employer required to pay this if I give 2 weeks notice? Thanks..

    Illinois is a "follow the company policy" state when it comes to payment of accrued vacation at termination.
    I don't respond to Private Messages unless the moderator specifically refers you to me for that purpose. Thank you.

      That's not my understanding. Mine is that earned but unused vacation is unconditionally due at term.

      Since we appear to have two different answers, you might want to check with the Illinois DOL.
      The above answer, whatever it is, assumes that no legally binding and enforceable contract or CBA says otherwise. If it does, then the terms of the contract or CBA apply.

        If employment contracts or policies provide for paid vacation, the earned, unused portion must be paid to employees at their final rate of pay upon separation. 820 ILCS 115/5 & Ill. Admin. Code 56-300.520.

          Just so I am absolutely clear, I am still entitled to my accrued vacation pay upon giving a 2 week notice?

            That is my understanding of the law in your state, yes, assuming that you have ACCRUED the entire two weeks.
