  • Employer allowed to withhold commission in PA? Pennsylvania

I work at a music store in PA and get paid a small wage hourly and I get commission for things I sell. The company pays me every other week and my commission is paid once a month. The most recent paycheck I received should have had my commission on it, but only had my hourly. When I called the office to ask where my commission was, they said they didn't have time to do it and said it would be on the next paycheck. I depend on my commission being on my check every other week. Are they allowed to hold the pay I earned just because they "didn't have time" to add it on?

    Thanks!

In Pa. commissions are considered wages and thus must be paid on regular paydays designated in advance by the employer.
