    I work at a convience store. Sometimes we have gas drive offs and our employer says we have to pay for this. I think this is wrong as we were not the ones doing the drive off. please let me know your opion on this thanks

    It cannot be deducted from your pay.

    Are they requiring you to pay out of pocket or deducting from your paycheck?

      It doesn't really matter if they deducted from the paycheck or if they made her pay out of pocket.

      ยง91A.5 prohibites "withholding or diverting" any portion of an employees wages for such a loss. Requiring an employee to pay out of pocket counts as diverting.
