I have a situation where there is an employer(male) and employee(female) who had a personal relationship before they had a professional relationship. The personal relationship ended on bad terms. The employee had been paid checks by the employer regularly, but did not deposit or cash them. This went on for the last 4-7 years until the relationship of 13 years ended. Now the employee is suing the employer claiming that "out of care" she did not cash the checks but now wants $130,000. Does the employee have a case?

Both the employer and employee knew that the checks were not being cashed. Not that it matters, but the employee didn't do much around the doctor's office.
