NJ Wage Payment Timeline New Jersey

Our company pays weekly, on Fridays. All checks are dated on Friday. However, I work off-site and my check is mailed. I usually get my check Monday evening. I requested direct-deposit, which they denied, citing the cost of implementing direct-deposit in a small company. Does New Jersey law provide for any relief from late payment? And/or what constitutes late payment?

If the check is postmarked on or before payday, the employer has paid on time, according to NJ law. It's a shame your employer doesn't realize the cost savings involved in direct deposit.
