  • Commissions! Federal

Any of you that know me also know that I am fascinated by commissions. In looking for some info, I found this jem from the statutes of Kansas.

    (b) "Commissions earned through the last day of the contractual relationship" or "earned commissions" means commissions with respect to services or merchandise which actually has been delivered or furnished to, accepted by and paid for by the customer by the last day of the commission salesperson's contractual relationship.

I have NEVER before seen a state law define when a commission is earned. This is just great (unless you work in sales and see that the commission is not earned until the customer pays for the product/service while you are still employed).

Anyone else know of any other laws relating to commissions?
