  • Hourly Employee Time Cards Arizona

In our manufacturing plant we have employees who work on a "line". These employees often reference "lead" timecards instead of writing in job data and time allocated to those job functions and productivities on their time sheets.
All the time sheet says in some cases is "see time card #....." and there is an amount of hours written in.

For labor reporting and accurate / compliant record it legal for one employee to reference another employee's time card instead of filling it out.............

The time-keeping regulations are not exactly specific on this. As a rule of thumb, I'd agree referencing another employee's timecard is not a prudent practice. This will ultimately come down to if the employer accepts this or not. My suggestion would be to require the employee to complete the timecard with actual start/stop times. This will be more useful should you need under subpoena or for other purposes.

Probably not illegal as such. Probably a dumb idea, though. For the reasons robb71 stated.
I don't respond to Private Messages unless the moderator specifically refers you to me for that purpose. Thank you.
