  • unpaid wages Wisconsin

I have just quit (deleted by moderator) carriers. I'am an owner operator
they have refused to pay me for the miles i drove. They have been
ignoring my call and hanging the phone up on me. When they do pay me
it's 4:00pm or Tuesday and payday is friday, i have talked to other
    guys
who drive for them, an they say they have no problems with getting
    paid,
    franky i think it's a racial issue.

As an owner-operator, are you an employee (taxes withheld from your pay) or an independent contractor. If you are an employee, Wisconsin law requires that you get paid on the regularly scheduled payday for the pay period that includes your final day of work. You say you quit on Tuesday and that the pay date is Friday. But, what pay period does the check on Friday pay FOR?

Of course, if you are NOT an employee, the above law does not apply. And why do you think it's a "racial issue"? We don't have enough information to even determine whether a law has been violated at all.
I don't respond to Private Messages unless the moderator specifically refers you to me for that purpose. Thank you.
