i worked for a company for approximately four weeks, and i was forced to quit on mothers day. i was told that i would be paid that coming thursday. i went to the store to pick up my check and they did not have a check for me. it has been nearly 6 weeks since the beginning of my employment, and i still have not recieved a dime. i think i can file a dispute but, seeing as how i have not been paid, i cannot afford much more than the trip to the store when my paycheck does arrive. does it cost anything to file a dispute? and if not, is there any way to do it online or over the phone?

You can file a complaint with your state DOL. It does not cost anything.

I don't know offhand if your state has provision for on-line or over-the-phone filing.
The above answer, whatever it is, assumes that no legally binding and enforceable contract or CBA says otherwise. If it does, then the terms of the contract or CBA apply.
