  • Commission based pay and no hourly wage? Wisconsin

My friend works at a salon and she used to get paid with an hourly wage by her boss ( the owner of the salon) when she was assisting him with his clients at work. Now she doesnt assist him anymore and takes her own clients which sometimes can be very slow. She gets paid on commission so if she doesn't get many clients she doesn't get much for a pay check. Her paychecks have taken a substantial hit ever since shes been put on commission only. Is she entitled to an hourly wage???

Are they still treating her as an employee, or is she renting the space?
