    If a salaried employee is laid off within two hours of reporting to work, should he/she be paid for the day?

    No, they do not have to be paid for the rest of the day.

      Thank you for your reply. My assumption, from your reply, is that the employee should be paid for the hours worked only. I have not found a written reg or law for this situation - do you know of a link?
