Maybe. Let's start at the beginning:
    - What do you sell?
    - Where/how do you sell it?

    Federal law (FLSA) makes distinctions.
    - Employees who sell product outside of their employer's premises (Outside Sales) are under very different rules then those who sell product at their employer's premises (Inside Sales).
    - Then even for Inside Sales, people whose employers fall under the Retail/Service Establishment exception are under different rules then say people who sell stuff over the phone or internet.
    - And sometimes the industry makes a difference. For example, selling cars from a lot falls under the Auto Dealer exception, while selling say furniture from a store has no such exception.
