  • Interview Notes Pennsylvania

Are there any laws or regulations specifically stating that interview notes are to be kept by the employer? If they must be kept, specifically for how long? And, which laws and/or regulations apply? Would the Title VII regulations at 29 CFR 1602 apply? I've done some research on this topic and can't seem to find any law or regulation that specifically states that interview notes must be kept. Thanks.

If you can't find a law on the subject, there probably isn't one. I'm not aware of any law requiring interview notes to be kept for any particular length of time, or at all.
The above answer, whatever it is, assumes that no legally binding and enforceable contract or CBA says otherwise. If it does, then the terms of the contract or CBA apply.

The only stipulation would be if your company is required by law to have an affirmative action plan. The OFCCP will certainly be looking for these if you are ever audited by them for any reason.
