  • No-compete agreement

I work at a company and signed a no-compete clause. I work in Oregon, the parent company is in Washington. If I were to go work for a company that could be seen as a competitor, could my current company come after me? I've heard that these types of agreements don't hold up in Oregon. Is this true?

We cannot comment on the enforceability of an agreement we have not read. You will have to show the agreement to a local attorney.
The above answer, whatever it is, assumes that no legally binding and enforceable contract or CBA says otherwise. If it does, then the terms of the contract or CBA apply.
