  • Called to work and sent home Oregon

If your employer has you scheduled or calls you into work. (requires you to show up) Then your employer sends you home after you arrive, but with no time worked. Does your employer have to pay you a minimum for making you show up, or is there some kind of compensation for the time wasted or the fuel wasted?

No, not in your state. Only a very few states have any kind of "reporting pay" laws and Oregon's applies only to minors.

The above answer, whatever it is, assumes that no legally binding and enforceable contract or CBA says otherwise. If it does, then the terms of the contract or CBA apply.
