    how many hours in advance can your employer in oregon schedule you for a shift that is not your regular shift? and if you are unable to do the schedule shift that they assign you can they fire you? my situation is i work tues and wednesdays with my employer and i have been given 4 days notice that i have to work thursday. no phone call to ask me to do it just a hanging schedule. thank you

    There's no minimum amt. of time they have to give you in advance unless you have a binding employment contract to the contrary. Yes, you can be fired if you do not show up for a scheduled shift.
