  • unemployment for part time worker Ohio

I'm a 64 yr old Tool & Diemaker working part time 32 to 39 hours a week. If I get laid off can I get unemployment benefits temporarily, Thanks in advance.

We have no idea. It would depend on a number of factors, including why the layoff and whether you had the requisite wages in the base period.

You have provided nothing to suggest that you would not be able to collect UI, but we can't carve an answer in stone for you on the basis of a hypothetical, either.
The above answer, whatever it is, assumes that no legally binding and enforceable contract or CBA says otherwise. If it does, then the terms of the contract or CBA apply.

If you're asking if *part time* workers can *ever* get UI benefits, the answer
is yes depending on various factors as cbg noted.
Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around. Leo Buscaglia
